Director of Nursing; DON

We are seeking a charismatic individual to join our team as the new Director of Nursing (DON) at The Healthcare Resort of Kansas City
. The right person must be passionate about the quality of care their residents receive and about growing the individuals around them by creating an empowered environment for all.

  We also have support from Regional Clinical Resources as well as additional support from fellow DON partners in our Kansas market. We have a lot of resources and support available to make sure you succeed!

• Provide 24‑hour accountability for the Nursing Department in directing and coordinating all activities of nursing services
• Makes rounds to verify clinical compliance including periodic spot checks of residents’ condition
• Coordinate clinical services to promote standard clinical interventions of resident care
• Takes corrective action in response to quality of service issues
• Investigate any complaints and concerns as indicated
• Review and follow‑up on documentation for clinical compliance
• Supervise all nursing activity within the department
• Ensure coaching and disciplinary actions are provided as indicated within the policies and procedures of the campus
• Evaluate performance/skills/job knowledge of nursing staff

• Kansas (or compact state) RN license is required
• 1‑2 years of DON experience
• 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long Term Care (LTC)
