R-55297# Position Title Perioperative Nurse Liaison (RN)- Education Cardiothoracic Clinic Days - Full Time Bell Hospital## Position Summary / Career Interest:

The CTS Perioperative Education Nurse facilitates and coordinates preoperative education, testing and evaluation for the Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery cases.
** Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
*** Changes culture to one that is family centered and customer friendly throughout the surgical process.
* Must collaborate care with clinic CNC, surgeons, NP's or other surgeon representatives, CVPP and CVOR on an ongoing basis.
* Provides education and instructions for patients and family/support systems prior to scheduled surgical procedures
* Orders and ensures necessary testing is completed per protocol on scheduled surgical patients.
* Coordinates visits with Pre Anesthesia Clinic
* Reviews Pre Op testing and ensures any abnormal result is reviewed by Surgeon or NP, and any necessary intervention is initiated.
* Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned department.

Education and Experience
*** High School Graduate
* Associate Degree Nursing
** Preferred

Education and Experience
*** Bachelor Degree Nursing
* 2 or more years operating room experience
** Required Licensure and Certification
*** Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse in State of Kansas or State of Missouri
** Knowledge Requirements
*** Must be prepared to interact with patients/families making a complaint or grievance, and sudden requests for information## Time Type:
