Wyandot Behavioral Health Network (Wyandot BHN) is looking for compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our Adult Crisis Stabilization team. If you're passionate about behavioral health and want to make a meaningful impact every day, we'd love to meet you.
Our 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Center provides immediate support to adults experiencing mental health crises. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll help individuals stabilize, begin recovery, and connect with ongoing care in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Pay$29.00–$42.00 per hour (based on licensure and experience)
Schedule- Flexible scheduling available
- Current openings:
12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
As an RN or LPN on our Crisis Stabilization team, you will:
- Provide nursing care and crisis intervention for adults experiencing behavioral health emergencies.
- Complete nursing and behavioral health assessments to identify immediate needs.
- Monitor consumers' physical and mental health status, including vital signs.
- Administer medications, including intramuscular injections, as prescribed.
- Perform blood draws and other nursing procedures as needed.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and other members of the treatment team.
- Support consumers in their recovery, rehabilitation, and daily functioning.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.
- Perform other duties that support quality patient care and program operations.
Requirements
What We're Looking For Education & Licensure- Current Kansas license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
- One to three years of nursing experience preferred, ideally working with adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness or in behavioral health, crisis, emergency, or psychiatric settings.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and behavioral health nursing practices.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and crisis intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current liability insurance.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
