The Behavioral Health & Psychiatric RN in the Emergency Department is a full-time night position at the Strawberry Hill Campus, focusing on psychiatric intake and assessment.
Responsibilities- Conduct initial psychiatric assessments, triage, and mental status exams.
- Provide referrals and coordinate admissions.
- Assist with involuntary paperwork.
- Participate in crisis response teams.
- Assist with IV therapies.
- Initiate pre-certifications.
- High school diploma.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least 6 months of psychiatric nursing experience.
- Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). - Preferred: more psychiatric liaison experience.
- Preferred: relevant certifications such as ACLS or ENPC.
The position emphasizes providing compassionate psychiatric care within organizational policies and standards.
