Registered Nurse; RN - Poison Control

Responsibilities

• The RN will manage and triage poison exposure cases.
• Assess severity, identify toxic substances and determine appropriate treatment options.
• Provide poison and drug information to health professionals and the public.
• Document cases thoroughly and follow up as needed.

• High school diploma and an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Previous critical care experience.
• Registered Nurse licensure with BLS certification.
• Certification as a Poison Information Specialist is required post-hire.
• Preferred experience:
  
  ER patient care, Toxic Exposure Surveillance System, poison center work.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to perform clinical competencies.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.
• May serve as a preceptor for students and residents.
