Job Description
Looking for an opportunity to be a lead nurse? Saint Luke’s Community Hospital at the Legends is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. As an ED RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to perform ongoing assessments and provide direct patient care to a variety of acuity levels and conditions.
Shift DetailsFull Time, Days, 12 hr shifts.
Preferred ExperiencePrevious ED RN Experience Preferred.
Qualifications- 3-5 years experience as a Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Patient‑centered, self‑driven, and motivated, committed to providing exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere and autonomously.
- Comfortable in high‑pressure situations, highly organized, task‑oriented, resourceful, and possess strong communication skills.
- Compassionate and seeking an exciting opportunity to have more time with patients in an emergency department setting.
- Ability to manage care within established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient‑centered skills.
- Demonstrate ability to manage care within the established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state.
- Appropriately triage patient and prioritize needs, displaying a caring and responsive attitude.
- Initiate care to stabilize patient and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, demonstrating appropriate admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
- Collect detailed patient history and symptoms, including vital signs, providing appropriate care in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures.
- Report adverse treatments or medications in accordance with current policies and procedures.
- Prepare patient meals.
- Participate in QAPI activities including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards.
- Leadership supports nurse engagement and allows voices to be heard.
