Job Description
Looking for an opportunity to lead in nursing? Saint Luke's Community Hospital at the Legends is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. As an ED RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to perform ongoing assessments and provide direct patient care to a variety of acuity levels and conditions.
Shift DetailsFull Time Nights
- Previous ED RN experience preferred
- More autonomy with the ER providers
- Receive training in our lab; we draw and process lab work for our patients on site
- Work alongside paramedics specially trained for the community hospital setting
- More involvement in daily operational activities due to smaller hospital size
- More time spent with patients
- Demonstrate ability to manage care within the established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state
- Adequately triage patients and prioritize needs, displaying a caring and responsive attitude
- Initiate care to stabilize patients and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with physicians and clinical staff; perform appropriate admission, discharge and transfer procedures
- Collect detailed patient history and symptoms, including vital signs, providing appropriate care in a timely and cost‑effective manner
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures
- Report adverse treatments or medications in accordance with current policies and procedures
- Prepare patient meals
- Participate in QAPI activities including accreditation preparation and survey processes, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards
2 years of applicable experience
- Registered Nurse (KS) – National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
- Associate Degree
- Full Time
- Night shift (United States of America)
