Registered Nurse Clinical Educator

Overview

We are seeking a Clinical RN Educator, sometimes referred to as aClinical Nurse Educator,RN Clinical Educator, or Nurse Educator. The Clinical RN Educatorinourhospital setting is a registered nurse (RN) whois responsible for providing education services of clinical and patient care services toattainour hospital’sobjectives, mission and valuesestablishedby corporate administration.

They act as a bridge between clinical practice and education, helpingstaffstay current with best practices, policies, and procedures.

Shifts Available: Days

Hours: 8 hour – 8:00am to 4:30pm (Mon thru Fri)

Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Develop and deliver orientation programs for new clinical staffand provide ongoing training, in-services, and continuing education on clinical skills, protocols, equipment, and patient care standards
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff during patient care, mentor and coach clinical staffin skill development, critical thinking, and decision‑making, and support new graduates andclinicalresidents during onboarding and transition to practice
• Help implement new clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and evidence‑based practices whilemonitoringcompliance and providing remediation or education as needed
• Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and patient safety projects, analyze performance data, and help develop action plans for improvement
• Encourage certifications, advanced degrees, and career growth and keep staff informed about changes in healthcare regulations and trends

Education, Work

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Minimum of 5 years acute care experience, prefer Critical Care areas

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• Minimum of 2 years previous educational experience preferred
• Prior Critical Care experience is strongly preferred for this role
