Quality Assurance Technician
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for quality testing and ensuring that all processes adhere to specified standards. This role involves checking levels of variance and stopping processes if necessary, as well as conducting viscosity, pH, moisture, and fat tests. You will also be responsible for extensive paperwork, logging safety and metal checks every hour, and verifying the accuracy and safety of processes.
Responsibilities- Conduct quality tests on products by testing batches and checking ingredients and recipes.
- Log results and correct any discrepancies in product specifications.
- Test samples for color, size, and occasionally taste.
- Communicate with key personnel regarding the status of ingredients and products.
- Maintain external contracts for specifications and requirements of raw materials.
- Support other quality assurance functions as needed.
- Complete daily duties, including entering production data into the computer, filing paperwork, and completing various reports.
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control, particularly in a food manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Basic wet chemistry skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external contacts.
This position operates on a Tuesday to Saturday shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
