Job Description Summary
The Clinical Research Assistant supports clinical trials within the Parkinson’s Disease Center by recruiting and educating patients, assessing eligibility, performing study procedures, and maintaining accurate trial and regulatory documentation. This role ensures compliance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines and provides updates to the Principal Investigator and research team.

Job Duties- Recruit and educate patients for clinical trials.
- Evaluate potential patient eligibility for clinical trials.
- Maintain source documents and case report forms (CRF's) for clinical trials.
- Perform subject visits procedures as needed per education and training.
- Maintain trial regulatory documentation including correspondence with sponsor, KUMC Human Subject Committee and subjects.
- Provide written and verbal reports to Principal Investigator and Project Manager as required.

Required QualificationsWork Experience:
- Four (4) years in basic science, nursing or equivalent. Education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
- Six (6) month experience in clinical research, or equivalent.
- Experience with regulatory, FDA codes and guidelines for Good Clinical Practices.
Education: Bachelor's in basic science, nursing or related field.
Work Experience: Experience in Neurology, Parkinson Disease Research.

Compensation StatementThe pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
