CBRE is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at one of our clients with a "Food Production" facility in Kansas City, MO. We are looking for a tech who will take pride in keeping buildings running like clockwork. If you’re hands‑on, reliable, and have a mechanical mindset, we want to hear from you!

• Non‑smoking facility; work uniforms and boots must stay within the facility. Workers must change any time they come and go from the building.
• Monday‑Friday 7:00 - 3:30. Very occasional on‑call could arise.

CBRE is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, monitoring and repairs on building systems including mechanical and electrical components (light, plumbing, carpentry and electrical / lighting). This role supports energy efficiency, ensures compliance with safety codes. Ideal candidates have basic mechanical experience, strong organizational skills, and the physical ability to handle manual tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building equipment and systems.

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Review assigned work orders and update CMMS (SI7) with job status updates and completion notes.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing Fire Life Safety equipment, building codes and safety laws.
• Experience with dock doors, levelers, and restraints is preferred.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
• Exchange information in a clear, concise manner.
• Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
• It is preferred that candidates have commercial facilities/built maintenance experience with some dock experience.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Microsoft Office products:
  Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and manage work orders through a CMMS.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive, mechanical mindset.
