Job Description
You will complete work orders, perform unit turns, troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, maintain community areas, and use your own tools to support daily property operations. Contract‑to‑hire role at a Kansas City apartment community through BGSF.
Key Responsibilities
* To complete resident work orders (plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry)
* To perform unit turns and make‑ready tasks: patch, paint, caulk, replace fixtures
* To troubleshoot basic electrical and plumbing issues
* To maintain common areas and assist with preventative maintenance
* To follow safety guidelines and communicate professionally with staff and residents
Required Skills
* Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
* Must provide and safely use own tools
* Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues across multiple trades
* Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active throughout shift
* Dependability Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.
-5 p.m.
* EPA Type II or Universal certification (preferred)
* Experience completing unit turns in apartment communities
* Familiarity with maintenance software or work order apps
About BGSF
You will be employed by BGSF, a staffing agency, and placed on assignment at an apartment community in Kansas City. This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity with strong potential for permanent placement based on performance.
