We’re committed to offering you stable hours for the financial security and work‑life balance you need. The normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop at our Kansas City, Kansas location.

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Assist senior mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination.
• Preferred: 2+ years’ experience with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and/or diesel and waste industry experience.

• Required to exert physical effort including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.
• Exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often.
• Exposed to environmental factors involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements often.
• Job operates in both inside garage/shop or gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.
