Benefits
  • Mobile Technicians are issued a Ryder Mobile Maintenance Truck for Service Calls.
  • Hourly Pay: $37.11 per hour.
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700.
  • Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter (four times per year).
  • Sign On Bonus: $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days.
  • Schedule:

    Sunday – Thursday.
  • First Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field preferred.
  • Four or more years of experience in advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑ and medium‑duty equipment.
  • Must have the minimum tools required to perform job duties as outlined in Ryder's Maintenance Policy 2.02.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
  • Able to take home assigned mobile service truck and secure vehicle and contents preferred.
  • Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to company policies in all areas.
  • Proven hands‑on mechanic, customer‑service, and account‑management skills.
  • Ability to complete repair orders with the company’s established systems.
  • Demonstrates customer‑service skills.
  • Strong relationship‑management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Required to operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment proficiently (advanced level).
  • Other certifications (SBTIII trained, OEM diagnostic courses, tire & wheel safety, brake air, maintenance, brake hydraulic, A/C recycling, A/C qualified, HD electrical, CDL, etc.) as listed in the original description.
  • Valid non‑commercial driver license (Class E), Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, and/or state driver license as required.
  • Safety‑sensitive position.
Regulated Tech
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within six months after hire.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with customers, exhibit account‑management skills to independently facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates. Coordinate work schedules as required by customers. Road test vehicles to identify causes of complaints, ensure quality of repair work performed, and deliver customer satisfaction. Preventive maintenance (PM) and vehicle repairs responsibilities include but are not limited to:
