Lynn Electric is hiring an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead crews on projects. As the Foreman Electrician, you'll be the crew leader on the ground - keeping projects moving, keeping the team aligned, and making sure the work is done right. You'll direct a crew of electricians, coordinate with project managers and subcontractors, and serve as the primary point of contact on your job site.
WhatYou'll Do
- Study project specs and plans to develop construction procedures, schedules, and staffing for each phase
- Order and coordinate timely delivery of tools and materials
- Direct and supervise apprentice and journeyman electricians on assigned job sites
- Confer with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve problems and keep work on track
- Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets specifications and code requirements
- Prepare and review progress reports, material usage, and cost tracking; adjust schedules as needed
- Handle crew concerns fairly and professionally
- Lead crews through major maintenance, retrofit, and reconditioning projects on existing electrical systems
- Minimum 4 years of related electrical field experience, OR a 2-year technical/college degree plus 2 years of field experience
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a crew in a fast-paced field environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and technical specifications
- Basic computer skills (Word, spreadsheets, project management software)
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Reliable transportation with the ability to commute to job sites within approximately a 1-hour radius of the Kansas City metro
- Journeyman license preferred
This is a physically demanding field role. Candidates should be able to regularly lift up to 70 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance), climb ladders and scaffolding, work at heights, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, and uneven terrain.
