Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for assisting and performing all maintenance duties and other tasks assigned to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Ability to perform all industrial maintenance duties, which include but not limited to:

  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety policies and regulations and maintain clean organized work area.
  • Know how to perform advanced preventative maintenance tasks and procedures and use a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
  • Troubleshooting and repair to mechanical, pneumatic logic and PLCs and electrical systems.
  • Installation of facility equipment from provided P& blueprints to include fabrication.
  • Maintenance and rebuilding expertise on pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production equipment.
  • Instrumentation and Calibration:
    Expertly install, calibrate, and troubleshoot precision instruments such as pressure transducers, flow meters, temperature sensors (RTDs/thermocouples), and distance sensors.
  • VFD/Servo Expertise:
    Calibrate, program, and troubleshoot VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) parameters and advanced servo drive systems. This includes adjusting acceleration/deceleration curves and managing motor feedback loops.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
    Independently perform and document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex, recurring equipment failures and intermittent breakdowns to identify failure mechanisms and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Mentorship and

    Coaching:

    Act as a dedicated mentor and trainer for Maintenance Technicians I and II, providing hands-on instruction during repairs and leading formal training sessions on specific equipment or safety protocols.
  • High-Voltage Power:
    Safely perform diagnostics and repairs on 480V three-phase power systems and distribution panels, adhering strictly to NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to obtain operating permit for plant fork truck.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    High School Diploma/GED, Apprenticeship/Trade School or equivalent
  • Experience:

    4+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent training.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    Proficient in multiple industrial maintenance skill sets which could include but not limited to:
    • Trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
    • Proper installation of electrical systems and related equipment.
    • Advanced welding (which could include mig, tig, and arc).
    • Ability to use electrical and mechanical test equipment.
    • Knowledge of ladder logic and PLC control systems.
    • Carpentry
    • Plumbing
    • Advanced pipe fitting (Ability to read P& other blueprints).
    • Rebuilding of essentials systems; pumps, motors, gearboxes, and all production equipment.
    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    • Basic computer skills which could include Microsoft platforms and any other company applications.
    • Ability to mentor team members
    • Communicate professionally with all Co-owners and outside agencies.
