DescriptionWe are seeking a Resource Family Advocate to join our team.
Salary Range: $42,000 - $45,000 (Salary)
We are seeking a Resource Family Advocate KS to join our team. Your role will conduct family assessments for licensure. Facilitate pre-service and in-service training for kinship and foster families. You will be responsible for ongoing support, maintenance and relicensure of assigned homes. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with 6 other team members and report to our Manager of Child Placing Agency.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Assist assigned families with problem-solving, obtaining resources and addressing identified needs.
- Maintain timely communication with case management team members and supervisors regarding assigned families.
- Ensure electronic records in Avatar and Care Match are accurate and current.
- Provide support and assistance to the Placement Finding Team in identifying placements for children based upon current and accurate knowledge of assigned families.
- Support additional Resource Development functions through community recruitment events, screening potential resource families, leading information meetings, etc.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or other human services related field.
- Master's degree in social work; and adoption and foster care experience are preferred.
- At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
- A valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
