Review pick tickets, production orders, shipping schedules, labels, and special instructions before beginning assigned work.

  • Locate, identify, pull, and stage the correct finished products and materials for customer orders, transfers, or internal requests.
  • Count, measure, weigh, scan, and otherwise verify products and quantities against pick tickets, packing slips, labels, and system records.
  • Package, bundle, wrap, band, cap, protect, and label products according to established procedures and customer requirements.
  • Safely load and unload trucks, trailers, racks, carts, pallets, and other approved conveyances using authorized equipment and methods.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound materials for visible damage, correct identification, quantity, and condition; promptly report discrepancies or concerns.
  • Move and store materials in designated locations while preserving product identification, traceability, access, and inventory accuracy.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other approved material-handling equipment only when trained and authorized.
  • Perform required pre-use equipment inspections and remove from service or report equipment that is damaged, unsafe, or not operating properly.
  • Take required shipment and load photographs and retain or submit them according to established procedures.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, location verification, product relocation, and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor truck and pedestrian traffic in assigned work areas and follow established dock, yard, trailer, and loading procedures.
  • Maintain clear aisles, docks, exits, staging areas, charging areas, and equipment parking locations.
  • Support receiving, production, quality, customer service, and other warehouse activities as assigned and within training and authorization.
  • Communicate accurate information during shift changes and promptly advise the Warehouse Manager or other appropriate personnel of shortages, damage, delays, or special circumstances.
  • Follow all company safety rules, quality procedures, work instructions, PPE requirements, and supervisor directions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Verify that the item, quantity, length, color, profile, package count, label, destination, and other required order information are correct before shipment.

  • Confirm that products are properly released or approved for shipment and do not knowingly load held, rejected, unidentified, damaged, or nonconforming material.
  • Identify, segregate, and report damaged, questionable, mislabeled, or nonconforming product according to established procedures.
  • Complete or support required shipping records accurately, including pick tickets, packing slips, bills of lading, load photographs, inventory transactions, inspection records, and other required documentation.
  • Protect finished products from bending, crushing, contamination, weather exposure, shifting, abrasion, or other preventable damage during handling, staging, storage, and loading.
  • Follow established load plans and directions for trailer placement, weight distribution, stacking, blocking, bracing, and freight securement; seek direction whenever requirements are unclear or a load cannot be completed safely.
  • Report order shortages, overages, location errors, damaged packaging, documentation errors, trailer concerns, and other conditions that may affect shipment accuracy or timing.
