Project Accountant
Role Specific IntroductionWe are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is a key part of our Accounting & Finance department and is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will support day‑to‑day financial operations and play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, proactive, and excited to contribute to process improvements and business operations in a dynamic, team‑based culture. This full‑time, in‑person role is based out of our St. Louis headquarters.
- St. Louis Office / Full‑Time / On‑Site
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional office environment
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Prepare and post complex journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
- Support Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Work directly with the Accounting Manager to support timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closing processes
- Assist with ongoing ERP system maintenance and respond to user inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of all financial data
- Participate in special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as needed
- Apply strong analytical thinking to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge;
Quick Books and Unanet knowledge is a plus
- $65,000+ – Salary dependent on education and experience
