Accounts Payable Supervisor

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. This role provides direct supervision to 1-2 accounts payable staff, manages vendor relationships, supports cash flow management, and partners with internal stakeholders to support financial reporting and special projects. • Provide direct management and oversight of all accounts payable functions and staff
• Supervise, coach, develop, and conduct performance management for the Accounts Payable Clerk
• Oversee new vendor setup and payment processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Review and approve daily payment requests in accordance with company policies and guidelines
• Enter accounts payable invoices daily, ensuring accurate coding to departments, product lines, and general ledger accounts with appropriate approvals
• Properly manage cash flow by ensuring vendor payments are made accurately and on time
• Review and enter company credit card transactions and ensure proper documentation and coding
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal customers regarding accounts payable matters
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and financial reports for management review
• Issue annual 1099 tax documents in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in and support other finance-related special projects as assigned

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extremely detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong accounting knowledge with solid analytical and research skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• At least 3‑5 years of Senior, Lead or Supervisory experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting Dept.
