Billing Specialist

Summary

The Billing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for their assigned plant(s). This position involves managing customer billing, outside billing, and uploading invoices to various payment processing systems.

The Billing Specialist serves as a key communication point for billing-related inquiries and ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company practices.

• Process and manage all billing activities for assigned plant(s).
• Upload invoices into various payment systems, including platforms such as Ariba, Coups, and Noosh.
• Process monthly Dupli billing efficiently and on schedule.
• Handle all CARS transactions for assigned plants.
• Act as key communication source for billing related questions and information requests from all levels of the organization.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with relevant accounting standards, state and federal regulations and Company values and practices.
• Use available data to analyze billing issues and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Assist the Credit and Billing Manager with assigned tasks or projects.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP systems JDE or other AS 400 style systems a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

• High School Diploma or GED with at least five years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates’ degree in accounting from a two-year college or university, preferred.
• Demonstrated experience and training in lieu of an accounting degree acceptable.
