Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Chief of Staff KC is partnering with a well-established, high-growth multi-unit franchise organization in the JOCO area on a Division Controller search. This is a high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of accounting and operations, offering direct partnership with senior leadership and a clear path for career growth.

This person will serve as the primary financial partner for one of the organization's core brands, owning the full accounting and reporting function for that division while working closely with Operations leadership to drive performance and support strategic decision-making.

• Manage and develop a team of two direct reports responsible for divisional accounting operations.
• Oversee all month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in line with established deadlines.
• Analyze financial results against historical trends, forecasts, and budget expectations, and deliver actionable insights to Operations and Finance leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management activities across the division.
• Develop and improve accounting controls, reporting processes, and operational KPIs.
• Partner closely with Operations leaders to influence business decisions, identify cost savings opportunities, and support store-level performance initiatives.
• Develop proficiency with POS systems and third-party delivery platform reporting to support operational analysis.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, FP&A, or operational finance experience;
  Big 4 public accounting background welcomed and encouraged to apply.
• Prior management or team leadership experience required.
• Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
• Experience in franchise, retail, hospitality, restaurant, or another high-volume multi-unit environment is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with large-scale POS systems and third-party delivery platforms is a plus.
• Self-starter with strong analytical skills, high accountability, and a collaborative, relationship-driven approach.
• Base Salary:
  Around $150,000, flexible depending on experience.
• Annual target bonus: 20%.
