The Accountant II plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records. This position is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Accountant II collaborates closely with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and contribute to process improvements.

Ultimately, the Accountant II helps maintain the financial health of the organization by providing timely and accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or progress toward certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Core Responsibilities:
    • Enter invoices accurately with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Record and process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
    • Post customer deposits and ensure proper application to receivables.
    • Prepare and enter journal entries.
    • Assist with the month-end close process.
    • Reconcile accounts receivable balances.
    • Identify, research, and resolve financial discrepancies.
    • Maintain accounting records in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Assist with audit documentation requests as needed.
    • Support the 1099 preparation and reporting process.
    • Assist with reconciling accounts
    • Assist with credit card reconciliation
    • Other duties as necessary
