Treasury Accountant II

Americo is hiring a full-time Treasury Accountant II to join our expanding team! The hours for this full-time position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on-site at our downtown Kansas City office.

Overview

The Corporate Finance - Treasury department is responsible for supporting the company's liquidity position, cash controls, and financial reporting through accurate and timely treasury operations.

This role supports cross-functional partners in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Investments, and Policy Accounting and plays a key role in maintaining accurate bank reconciliations, reliable short-term cash forecasts, timely intercompany balancing, and complete, audit-ready cash records within the Oracle Fusion ERP environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Oracle Fusion ERP Cash Management and Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) modules to import bank statements, monitor reconciliation status, validate matching rules, review exceptions, research and clear reconciling or stale items, and support month-end cash close activities.
  • Partner with Oracle Fusion administrators and cross-functional business partners to support system configuration, testing, and process improvements related to treasury accounting.
  • Prepare, update, and analyze short-term cash forecasts, communicating cash position updates and forecast variances to key stakeholders.
  • Manage intercompany cash balancing and settlement activities, including identifying out-of-balance conditions, coordinating corrections, and documenting resolutions.
  • Collaborate with General Accounting, Policy Accounting, and Financial Reporting teams to resolve cash-related discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare month-end treasury accounting support, including journal entry documentation, account analyses, and control evidence for cash-related processes.
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready reconciliation documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Support the continuous improvement of treasury reporting, bank account controls, operational procedures, and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for cash management processes, banking activity, and treasury-related questions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; a combination of relevant education and treasury or accounting experience may be considered.
  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive experience in treasury accounting, corporate accounting, bank reconciliations, cash management, or related finance operations.
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, cash positioning, cash forecasting, intercompany balancing, journal entry support, and general ledger account analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including experience with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and related data analysis tools.
  • Ability to research discrepancies, document conclusions, escalate unresolved items appropriately, and maintain organized, audit-ready support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, particularly Oracle Fusion Cash Management and Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS).
