Position Title:
Assistant Office Manager
Salary Range: $70,000–$90,000 / Year, DOE
This is an opportunity to step into a hands‑on operational role with a growing company where organization, accuracy, and follow‑through directly impact the business. The Assistant Office Manager will support daily office operations across shipping, invoicing, purchasing, inventory, accounting and administrative functions while becoming a trusted partner to an experienced office leader.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and confident working in a fast‑moving, blue‑collar environment. They will bring strong business fundamentals, some accounting knowledge, and the judgment to learn established processes before identifying opportunities to improve them.
Responsibilities- Create packing lists and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to keep daily operations moving efficiently
- Process purchase orders, invoices, bills, credit card statements, and other accounting-related documentation
- Maintain accurate information within inventory and accounting systems while ensuring numbers and records are entered correctly
- Answer incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, drivers and internal teams
- Provide administrative support across payroll, HR and general office operations as needed
- Partner closely with the Office Manager to learn existing workflows, processes and business requirements
- Manage multiple recurring priorities while adapting to different customer requirements and changing operational needs
- 5+ years of relevant office administration, operations, accounting support, or similar experience for candidates at the salaried level
- Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals with experience supporting invoicing, purchasing, billing or related financial processes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while managing repetitive, high-volume tasks
- Excellent organization, prioritization and professional phone communication skills
- Confidence working with a variety of personalities in a practical, fast‑paced and non‑corporate environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with Net Suite experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, with relevant professional experience valued in place of a degree
