Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Perform all aspects of a project or work in progress and apply knowledge gained to future projects
Possess and apply a solid understanding of the work environment; be punctual
Develop a general understanding of Myers and Stauffer services
Respond to all inquiries and requests
Strive to attain goals established by direct supervisors
Positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer
Ability to gain computer proficiency relative to administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and internet research
Professional in appearance and manner
Additional responsibilities as assigned
This position could have the potential to become a direct hire in a full-time position after graduation
Preferred Qualifications- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
- Active participation in student organizations and work experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
- Manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office suite
This position will be on site in our Kansas City, MO office. The schedule requires 40 hours/week and is flexible within a "traditional" Monday - Friday business week.
Minimum Qualifications- Intern must be working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field
