Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Prepare assorted state and local tax incentives and credit documents for Kansas, Missouri and various other states
Research state enterprise zone locations and various legislative changes and updates in the states for which they are responsible
Master all Kansas and Missouri core tax credit programs and be responsible for a portion of other non-core programs, as well as tax credit programs in other states
Be responsible for managing a variety of clients and make sure that all paperwork is completed in order to maximize the benefit for the client
Prepare state training grants on behalf of clients regarding the training of new employees or the retaining of existing employees
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work independently and handle multiple client projects
- Must be comfortable visiting clients and managing their accounts on an ongoing basis
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting or related field
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred - 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
