Hallmark's Corporate Accounting and Reporting department is at the center of the company's financial reporting process, helping connect Hallmark’s financial results to the decisions that move the business forward. The team leads consolidated internal and external reporting processes, ensures accounting records align with GAAP and Hallmark policies, and partners with teams across the organization to provide reliable accounting support and impactful financial insight.
THE ROLE AND WHY IT MATTERSAre you looking for an opportunity to build your accounting career while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of businesses and corporate functions? As a Financial Analyst, you will contribute to meaningful accounting and reporting work while developing a well-rounded understanding of Hallmark’s businesses and corporate functions while partnering with operating subsidiaries across the organization. Your work will include supporting the close process, preparing financial reporting, completing account reconciliations, analyzing financial information, supporting forecasts and plans, and ensuring capital spend is accurately recorded and aligned with Hallmark policies.

This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (the following is required to be considered for this role):- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business
- At least one (1) year of experience in accounting, reporting or public accounting
- Experience using Microsoft excel
- Professional certifications or advanced degrees (Masters of Accountancy, CPA, MBA)
- Knowledge of GAAP and its application with technical accounting research experience
- Prior experience in public accounting
- Experience with accounting and consolidation systems (SAP and HFM preferred)
- Experience with account reconciliation software (Blackline preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate or similar tools
- Great organizational skills and resourcefulness with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, giving you the best of both worlds: collaborating in person at Hallmark Headquarters in Kansas City, MO and enjoying the flexibility of working remotely. Our team works in the office 1-2 days a week.
