The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves overseeing month-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and providing guidance on accounting standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Support external audits and coordinate with auditors.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP).
- Advanced Excel skills and analytical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
