About The Role
As the CBRE Events Coordinator, you will assist in the planning, coordination, and day-of execution of small to large events.
The role is onsite in Kansas City, MO USA.
What You'll Do- Schedule and coordinate meetings and events in a high-volume conference center while working a flexible schedule to include 1 to 2 evenings aweek and up to one Saturday a month. Evening and Saturday hours are distributed evenly between CBRE Conference Staff.
- Assist other meeting planners with reporting and scheduling events.
- Oversee Conference Center turnover and room refresh.
- Provide technical AV assistance to meeting guests and become backup to the Conference Center technology specialist.
- Recognize and solve typical and a-typical problems that canoccur during events without supervisor approval.
- Follow standardized procedures and practices and receive regular but moderate supervision and guidance.
- Assist with other duties delegated by the CBRE Property Manager, including but not limited to, front desk reception coverage.

- High School Diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of job-related experience and Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Fulfill the physical requirements associated with role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, carrying and climbing a 6 foot ladder, and moving furniture. Must be able to lift/carry loads up to 50lbs.
- Requires advanced problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options with supervisor approval.
- Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with other vendors that service the Conference Center.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and strong aptitude for learning new technology and software.
- Keen eye on detail and strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.
