Job Description

This position will be primarily responsible for managing the supply of products from domestic sources to meet current and future customer needs. This includes submitting and managing purchase orders, vendor negotiation, data analysis, and sourcing of products and potential suppliers.

• Analyze and manage inventory levels of products via Net Suite generated reports for stockouts or overstocking.
• Manage inventory of products through analysis of Net Suite generated reports.
• Submit POs to vendors and maintain accurate information related to tracking, ship dates, and estimated arrival dates through completion of PO lifecycle.
• Update product information in Net Suite regarding cost changes, lead times, etc.
• Complete quotes, lead time, requests, and sourcing for stock and custom materials.
• Manage new product sources by RFQ’s, lead time reviews, onboarding of new suppliers, capacity analysis, and quality concerns.
• Negotiate and reduce cost, lead time, and MOQ requirements with vendors.
• Review existing products and suppliers for alternate sourcing.
• Provide freight quotes to the sales team for drop ship or custom orders.
• Work with Accounts Payables to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Complete RA and Vendor/Item issues for materials as assigned.
• Work with the warehouse to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Evaluate vendors’ performance of service, quality, and costs.
• Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships through excellent communication.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ purchasing experience
• Experience with Net Suite software a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Efficient time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze data to make informed buying decisions
• Ability to prioritize tasks, deadlines, and maintain consistent productivity in a fast-paced environment.
