The Merchandiser is responsible for leading commodity origination, marketing, and execution within an assigned product line and/or customer portfolio. This role drives profitable growth through strategic origination, disciplined risk management, and strong customer relationships. • Lead and execute commodity origination and marketing strategies aligned with Macro Source’s overall business objectives
• Drive sustained growth in volume, margins, and market share across assigned products and customer segments
• Diversify price and market risk utilizing Macro Source products, services, and hedging strategies
• Develop, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and transportation partners
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by providing expert market insight, pricing strategies, and solution-based recommendations
• Oversee logistics planning and execution to ensure timely, cost-effective product delivery using the local and regional truck market
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company risk management requirements
• Prepare and present performance updates, forecasts, and market insights to location management
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, risk, and leadership teams to support broader business initiatives
• Mentor and support junior merchandising or origination staff, contributing to talent development and knowledge sharing

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; an emphasis in Agriculture preferred
• 5–10 years of experience in industry sales
• Demonstrated success in driving profitable growth and managing customer portfolios
• Strong understanding of commodity markets, risk management, and pricing strategies
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• High level of professionalism, accountability, and business judgment
