Job OverviewThe Senior Superintendent is responsible for timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects. The role involves preparing project schedules, maintaining accurate status reports, coordinating with project managers and client representatives, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare the project schedule and maintain reports accurately describing project status.
- Coordinate field operations, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
- Review status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis.
- Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
- Direct subcontractor activities within pharma projects.
- Analyze manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interface the requirements with others as designated by the supervising superintendent.
- Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Prepare reports and forecasts, as required, and keep supervisors informed on the progress of overall assigned activities.
- 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
- Commercial and Life Science construction experience is preferred.
- Experience should include supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.
- Well developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills are required.
