** SUMMARY
* * Reporting to the Director of Field Operations this role exists to successfully manage and oversee the execution of assigned projects. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that all contracted work is executed in accordance with the Company’s policies, including contract documents, budget, schedule, safety, quality control and customer satisfaction. The Superintendent is responsible for leading all subcontractors / suppliers in the field on each project.
Ultimately, the Superintendent is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business by completing on time with an impeccable Safety and Quality Control record.
** ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
** may include but are not limited to:
* Lead daily site operations including safety, quality control, subcontractor performance, and crew production
* Conduct site meetings with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, and staff; attend progress meetings as required
* Ensure adherence to project scope, review subcontractor scopes of work, and alert PM of potential change orders
* Coordinate schedules, budgets, staffing, materials, and equipment needs in partnership with the PM
* Monitor subcontractor production rates, motivate crews, and take corrective action to maintain schedule and contract compliance
* Perform and enforce all safety protocols including Job Hazard Analysis, tailgate talks, PPE compliance, and reporting of unsafe activities
* Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents; maintain as-built/redline drawings
* Conduct daily site inspections, utility locates, and end-of-day worksite walk (tools, machinery, safety)
* Manage project documentation: utility tickets, DOT records, receipts, invoices, pick/load tickets, daily reports, and site-specific reporting
* Oversee project lifecycle tasks including start-up, closeout, and maintaining accurate installation quantity records
* Ensure all communications, both verbal and written, are client facing and representative of DI Build’s standards and commitments to quality.
** KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
*** Strong understanding of erosion control, reclamation, irrigation, and landscaping practices
* Proficient in Procore for daily reporting and project documentation
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Project; ability to assist in CPM creation and manage a 3-Week Look Ahead
* Skilled at developing and maintaining project-specific budgets and schedules
* Effective communicator (written, verbal, and electronic) with ability to engage clients, staff, and subcontractors professionally
* Strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities to manage subcontractor performance and maintain project standards
* Highly organized with strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills
* Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
** EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
*** Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial construction Superintendent
* OSHA certifications required (must obtain and maintain)
* Industry-related certifications and licenses strongly desired
* Experience overseeing both project start-up and closeout phases
* Procore certifications are mandatory within 30 days of hire.
