- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans for electrical construction projects
- Ensure compliance with ll applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits; document findings and corrective actions
- Maintain safety records, incident reports, training logs, and compliance documentation
- Deliver safety orientations for new hires and subcontractors
- Conduct ongoing safety training (toolbox talks, electrical hazard awareness, fall protection, LOTO, PPE, etc.)
- Coach supervisors and field personnel on safe work practices
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Track trends and implement strategies to reduce repeat incidents
- Collaborate with project managers and foremen to address safety concerns in real time
- Stop unsafe work when necessary and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Assist with updating company safety policies and procedures
- Participate in safety meetings, project planning, and pre-task planning
- Stay current on industry safety standards and best practices
- 2+ years of construction safety experience, preferably with an electrical contractor
- Strong knowledge of electrical hazards, OSHA regulations, and construction safety standards
- Experience conducting jobsite inspections and safety training
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and work scopes
- Strong communication and documentation skills
