This group has built a strong reputation working with repeat clients and operates primarily in negotiated/design-build environments.

Position Overview

The company is seeking a Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation commercial projects ranging from $500K – $20M.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, working closely with clients and subcontractors, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. The team values individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and take pride in building projects the right way.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations from project start through closeout
• Manage project schedules, sequencing, and daily site activities
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards
• Maintain strong communication with project managers and clients
• Oversee safety compliance and enforce jobsite standards
• Track progress, identify risks, and proactively solve field issues
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeout

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Experience managing ground-up and renovation projects ($500K–$20M preferred)
• Background in commercial projects such as K-12, healthcare, municipal, or similar
• Experience working in negotiated/design-build environments is a plus
• Strong ability to manage multiple smaller projects or phases simultaneously
• Proven track record of managing schedules and subcontractors effectively
• All projects are local to the Kansas City metro
