Trailhead Recruiting is currently looking for a Project Manager (Commercial Construction) for our clients based locally in the greater Kansas City area.
This Project Manager will oversee and manage commercial construction projects in the Kansas City area. The PM develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all components necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. The Project Manager is the primary leader for the construction project.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial construction, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of local building regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project budget for all assigned projects
- Perform project scheduling; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Collaborate with the superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the project
- Set milestones and formulate monthly owner-reports
- Maintain quality control and production efficiency
- Ensure job-site safety is being adhered to
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field is preferred
