Role Summary

The Superintendent 3 will plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with moderate complexity. This position will manage the team, plan construction sequencing, and achieve timely and profitable completion of each project.

The role also involves technical planning and system integration, leading front‑end planning for drug product equipment installation, critical process systems, and clean utilities. It develops and coordinates RACIs, scope documents, and interface plans, supports constructability reviews, move‑in planning, and execution sequencing for equipment and supporting systems.

Construction execution and readiness are coordinated with equipment vendors and internal stakeholders to align procurement, delivery, installation, verification, and Pressure Relief Device (PRD) requirements. The assistant works across rigging, heavy move, mechanical, electrical, low‑voltage, equipment, and cleanroom vendors to define interfaces, resolve impacts, and maintain installation readiness. It also partners with process suite teams and VDC on move‑in visuals, videos, and field execution planning, monitoring progress and removing technical and coordination barriers.

Key Responsibilities – Core
  • Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury‑free environment through individual actions and mentoring.
  • Manages subcontractors and organizes overall job workflow.
  • Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO for a small project or a major portion of a larger project.
  • Develops work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work.
  • Coordinates and manages custody and control of the project site.
  • Leads daily stand‑up and weekly trade meetings.
  • Attends, manages and participates in progress and/or project OAC meetings.
  • Creates, manages, changes and implements the project schedule as needed, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Tracks and monitors project budget and costs using the project management system’s cost reports.
  • Communicates key project information to owners, design teams, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments.
  • Maintains project filing and documentation organization system; updates drawings, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks.
  • Approves and/or records unit cost information for weekly reports and completes daily reports, logs and tracking reports.
  • Evaluates progress on self‑perform work and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Manages material and equipment needs for the project.
  • Supports the MOC (Material and Other Costs) and DLSC (Dunn Logistics Service Center) procurement and approval processes.
  • Assists in the selection of formwork, tools and equipment necessary to complete self‑perform operations.
  • Manages timecard approval process to ensure accurate hours and proper cost codes.
  • Ensures quality compliance through specifications, quality standards, in‑house QA/QC and outside resources.
  • Supports project closeouts by supervising pre‑punch activities and coordinating with the owner, architect and governing authorities.
  • Participates with field operations leadership and the project team to develop a project pre‑plan; implements, monitors and adjusts as needed throughout the project life cycle.
  • Partners with field leadership to establish field staffing for their assigned project.
  • Partners with project management to identify schedule and cost impacts of project changes.
  • Participates in the negotiation process with owner and architect to gain agreement for project changes.
