Job Description

This Project Manager role focuses on leading multiple construction and facilities projects, with a strong emphasis on MEP infrastructure and major building systems such as HVAC and roof replacements. You will develop project scopes and schedules, manage approved budgets, and provide superior client service while supporting process improvements and contributing to the growth of the organization. The position requires managing projects across various phases, from initial identification and design through permitting, construction, and financial closeout, while collaborating closely with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support large, complex projects and assignments while proactively managing project-related issues for assigned accounts, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects meet or exceed established goals for speed to market, data quality, and cost control.

  • Conduct, lead, and document weekly project meetings, ensuring clear communication of status, risks, and action items to all stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and track all vendor requests for proposals (RFPs), maintaining accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.

  • Coordinate the activities of general contractors and the relocation of technical functions, while interacting and negotiating with contractors and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.

  • Prepare and update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials.

  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Manage multiple projects at various phases and in various locations, from project identification through design, planning, client approval, permit issuance, construction, and financial closeout.

  • Lead project teams consisting of architects, design engineers, general and specialty contractors, property management, operating engineers, real estate brokers, environmental consultants, client project management organizations, client security, and client technology teams.

  • Provide weekly project activity updates to leadership, including schedule, budget, and risk status, ensuring transparency and accountability.

  • Develop risk management plans and lead teams through established work authorization processes to prevent impacts or incidents within critical environments or equipment.

  • Track project financials closely, including budgets, forecasts, and actuals, and ensure alignment with financial targets and reporting requirements.

  • Support team and client initiatives for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.

  • Engage in personal career development by seeking feedback, participating in training, and building expertise in construction, commercial real estate, and MEP infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with accounting and project administration functions to ensure accurate billing, accounts receivable management, and working capital compliance.

  • Apply an understanding of technical requirements for business relocations, including coordination of furniture, space planning, and building systems.

  • Utilize relevant project technology applications to manage documentation, schedules, reporting, and communication for assigned projects.

  • Ensure compliance with project policies and procedures, including vendor management, safety, and risk mitigation requirements.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in project management or construction management.

  • 2-3 years of practical experience in a project administration or project accounting position.

  • Experience running construction management projects, including coordination of contractors and vendors.

  • Project management skills covering the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout.

  • Ability to prepare, manage, and track project budgets with strong analytical and financial skills.
