- Oversee the planning and execution of data center construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with design teams to develop detailed project plans, specifications, and schedules that align with client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate activities, manage procurement, and ensure quality control throughout the construction process.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders, highlighting milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Utilize project management software and tools to track project performance, manage documentation, and facilitate communication among team members.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety on construction sites.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial management.
- Support the commissioning and handover processes, ensuring that all systems are operational and meet client specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and educational environment within the team.
- Participate in post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in future projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to data center construction and engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering or construction management, preferably in data centers or similar facilities.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to data center construction.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems specific to data centers.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other advanced construction technologies.
- Previous experience working with government contracts or large‑scale projects.
