Struct Sure Projects is looking for motivated students to join our team as Construction Project Management Interns. Our internship program is designed to give students real-world experience in the construction industry while working alongside experienced project managers, project engineers, estimators, field personnel and other members of our team.
We are a growing company with a history of turning successful interns into full-time employees. Our goal is to give interns meaningful exposure to how projects move from planning and preconstruction through execution and completion.
At Struct Sure, you won't spend your summer on the sidelines. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to active projects, learn our processes, participate in Precon, visit jobsites, and see firsthand what it takes to successfully manage complex construction projects.
What You'll Gain Experience In- Learning the construction process from preconstruction through project completion
- Working with our construction and project management software
- Assisting with submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation
- Supporting project engineers with day-to-day project activities
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Assisting with subcontractor proposals and documentation
- Gaining exposure to RMS/QCS processes on applicable government projects
- Participating in project meetings involving schedules, budgets, owners, subcontractors, and project teams
- Traveling to active jobsites for hands-on experience and project exposure
- Learning quality-control processes and applicable project requirements
- Gaining exposure to estimating, proposals, Precon, and other areas of the company based on project needs
- Students currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Interested in building a career in the construction industry
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to take ownership of their work
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Eager to learn and willing to ask questions
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communicators with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Willing to take initiative and get involved
- Previous construction experience is helpful but not required. We're looking for people who are ready to learn.
This is a temporary, full-time, paid summer internship based in our Kansas City, Missouri office. Some travel to project sites may be required depending on current projects and company needs.
