Job Details:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial planning of construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure. As a Construction Estimator, you will work closely with our project management team, clients, and vendors to ensure accurate cost estimation for a variety of construction projects including school, commercial, federal, state, government, and hospitality constructions.

• 1. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
• 2. Conducting research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, and other necessary information.
• 3. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• 4. Working with the project management team to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and requirements.
• 5. Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• 6. Preparing, reviewing and presenting cost estimates and bid packages.
• 7. Conducting risk analysis and advising on mitigating potential risks.
• 8. Liaising with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• 9. Preparing and presenting reports and findings to senior management.

• 1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in school, commercial, federal, state, government, and hospitality constructions.
• 2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3. Proficient in cost estimation software and tools.
• 4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• 5. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• 6. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• 7. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• 8. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• 9. Knowledge of industrial construction and government construction regulations and standards.
• 10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• 11. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• 12. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
