Event Coordinator

Location: Kansas City, MO

Salary: $30 – $33 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Event Coordinator to join our growing team. As the Event Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and executing a wide variety of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows, and social gatherings. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all aspects of our events run smoothly, from initial concept to final execution.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, catering, and decoration.
  • Oversee event budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors throughout the event planning process.
  • Conduct site visits and evaluate venues to ensure they meet event requirements.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning and coordination, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
