Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences

UMKC School of Dentistry is the only public dental school in Missouri. Our alumni account for roughly half of all practicing dentists in Missouri. The Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences encompasses the full scope of general dentistry and predoctoral prosthodontics. The department supports didactic, preclinical, and clinical education in operative dentistry, dental biomaterials, treatment planning, fixed and removable prosthodontics, and comprehensive restorative patient care.

Through close integration with predoctoral clinics, the department plays a central role in preparing students to deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centered care across diverse clinical settings.
