How will I contribute?

As an Architectural Designer Intern, you will work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables. As an Architectural Designer Intern, you will assist with 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, performing red-to-black markup/review tasks, and producing discipline deliverables such as floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, interior and exterior elevations and sections, schedules, and installation details in conformance with CRB's VDC standards.

Will work on a variety of architectural assignments, likely on more than one project simultaneously, and will be expected to work closely with architectural staff members to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

* Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.

* Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.

* Coordinating with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).

Qualifications

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program

* Available to work full-time during the internship period (May-August 2026)

* Willingness to relocate or work in one of CRB's internship locations, which may include:

Kansas City (MO), Raleigh (NC), Orange County (CA), Philadelphia (PA), St. Louis (MO), Boston (MA), San Diego (CA), Kalamazoo (MI), Denver (CO), and/or Rockville (MD)

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note)

* Strong interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industries

* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients, contractors)

* Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world design and engineering challenges

Preferred Qualifications

* Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks, BIM
360 Suite, Assemble)

* Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry

* Prior internship or co-op experience in Architecture or related field
