Crawford Architects is looking for Interns for the 2026/2027 year. Summer or Semester Internships available.

The Architectural Designer Student Intern will assist in architectural design and documentation utilizing creativity, foresight and sound judgment to meet project requirements │objectives throughout all phases of a project under the direction of a Project Architect and reflects Crawford Architects' standards, mission and goals.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist in architectural design, design development and documentation
  • Apply proper QA/QC methods throughout project ensuring that documentation for all phases conforms to QA/QC and Best Practice Standards established by firm
  • Develop design presentations and early design studies, preparing 2D and 3D presentation design drawings
  • Assist with master planning efforts
  • Assist in client, consultant and contractor project information coordination
  • Assist with creating client presentations and interviews
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education:

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master of Architecture degree

Must be in the Junior, Senior or Master's Level of the Degree Program

Necessary Skills
  • Strong creative and technical thinking skills
  • Strong presentation & graphic communication skills
  • Strong verbal & written skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suites
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong administrative and project management skills with the ability to work within budgetary guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to build relationships and work successfully with many different constituents and personnel
  • Desire to learn, accept direction, and be mentored
  • All around practical knowledge preferred
