We are currently accepting applications for a Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional at John Sharp Early Education Center. .
Requirements:
* An Associate's Degree, or 60 college credit hours, or successful completion of the Pearson Education Paraprofessional Assessment [see information below]
* Twenty-one (21) years of age.
* Be able to read and write. Have the ability to understand, and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
* Demonstrate an interest in youth and their educational welfare.
* Ability and desire to assist the teacher in providing an educational opportunity for the handicapped child to attain his/her maximum potential.
* Experience in working with children in a group setting.
* Ability to work well with learning community, parents teachers, students, administrators and staff with courtesy, tact, and good judgment along with having good customer service skills.
* Be of good character, neat in personal appearance, dependable, reliable, prompt, and flexible and have pleasing manners and personality.
* Ability to cooperate with teachers and willingness to take directions from teaching staff.
* Ability to stay uninvolved unless directed by the teacher, even if a situation is perceived differently than the teacher sees it.
Annual Salary Range for the School Year: $22,695 - $37,809
(dependent upon experience and qualifications)
