About the Position
The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) is a jointly-staffed command staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. As a Testing Clerk, you will conduct aptitude and qualification examinations at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) and Military Entrance Test (MET) sites for the applicants of the various Armed Services, based on standards set by each of the services.
Duties- Conduct aptitude and qualification examinations for applicants of various Armed Services at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) and aptitude examinations for students at high schools.
- Administer, proctor, and score applicant exams ensuring quality and integrity of examination practices and procedures.
- Brief applicants on military examination procedures and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain strict accountability and security of all testing materials and equipment.
- Brief applicants, distribute and proctor examinations, and score exams.
- Answer phone and e-mail queries from recruiters, liaisons, applicants, and other management personnel.
- Operate a variety of office automation equipment.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require you to possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions.
- This position requires you to cross-train in other functions of the MEPS (such as processing) and perform these functions as required.
- This position requires you to handle accountable test materials.
- This position requires you to conduct test sessions at remote sites, to include administration of high school tests at inner city, rural, and/or at risk schools with large populations (greater than 100 students).
- This position requires you to work occasional evenings and weekends. If the MEPS conducts night testing, this work will entail night shift work when the Test Clerk is the only employee in the building.

- Frequent local travel and occasional TDY may be required (may require hotel stay for multiple nights to meet mission requirements).
