Job Description
The intent of this posting is to identify a pool of Adjunct Instructors who are qualified to deliver undergraduate and graduate level courses in the English Department. This is a part-time, non‑benefit eligible unranked academic position. Appointment period is for the semester with consideration for re‑appointment. Hours, days and whether online or in‑person will vary depending on the opportunity.
QualificationsCandidates should possess a terminal degree or equivalent level of professional experience, a strong record of professional experience in areas specific to topic, and the ability to design and deliver a course to meet student learning outcomes. The Adjunct Instructor appointment is for courses taught in‑person on the UMKC Volker Campus or online. For those courses taught online, a certification is required through the University.
