Position Summary:
Support multilingual students through a variety of instructional methods and scaffolded supports, serving as the teacher of record and/or facilitating targeted support. This role focuses on credit attainment, recovery, and language development by providing flexible learning options, leveraging digital tools, and collaborating with staff and families to align instruction with student needs and promote success in both traditional and non-traditional settings.
What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)
Instructional Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual instruction plans based on assessment data to ensure measurable progress.
- Assign and grade coursework with timely feedback.
- Adapt, scaffold, and differentiate materials, assignments, and assessments to meet the needs of multilingual learners.
- Use student performance data to inform instruction, guide groupings, and support differentiated learning.
- Provide access to innovative learning options for credit attainment and recovery, serving as the teacher of record and/or collaborating with the teacher of record.
- Create opportunities for multilingual students to succeed within and beyond traditional learning environments.
Collaboration & Support
- Support the Grad Lab Coaches in developing program areas directed by Language Services for multilingual students.
- Collaborate with the ESOL Academic Advisor and Language Service personnel, and schools to align multilingual instruction with student needs, graduation plans, and secondary placement/scheduling.
- Engage families and stakeholders in academic planning and support by facilitating conferences to discuss progress and address concerns.
- Integrate digital tools to enhance language and content learning, and participate in professional learning and collaborative meetings to support academic success
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain and regularly update student progress, attendance, and monthly reports in SIS and for Language Services and the Educational Innovation Office.
- Provide monthly reports and records of student progress as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

To Be Successful at This Job, You'll Need To: (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of experience teaching TESOL in Secondary Content
- Valid Missouri Teacher certification (7-12) in Math
- Valid Missouri State Certification in ESL (K-12)
- Ability to work as a team with other stakeholders and staff
- Experience implementing and supporting MTSS to improve student outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
In Order to #Level Up in This Role, You'll Need: (Preferred Qualifications)
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 6 or more years of experience teaching TESOL in Secondary Content
- Valid Missouri Teacher certification (7-12) in more than one content area
- Experience with Technology Integration (Canvas, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams)
- Preferred experience working with ESOL students and supporting technology-based learning needs.
